Louboutin 'So Kate' Review

Louboutin 'So Kate'

For Christmas i was lucky enough to receive the, Louboutin, 'So Kate' 120mm shoes! I decided to give it some time to wear the shoes a few times to give an accurate review.

As you can see, mine are the 120mm black patent So Kates, as all Louboutins do, they came boxed, with a red dust bag and lots of padding and packaging to keep the shoes safe and separate to prevent any marks or scratches. In the box is also a small bag with replacement heel caps for if they need re-heeling.

These Louboutins are priced at £425, mine were from Net-A-Porter as in the larger sizes they are very rare and usually have a 6 month long waiting list. They came within 2 days of ordering, and shipping was very inexpensive, around £5.

Fit:
I am a consistent size 8 (UK) in high heels, and would consider myself to have average-wide feet. I was recommended to go half a size up in this style, however, as they are hard to find they only had my regular size so i decided to risk it! At first glance they looked tiny, however, i first wore them with tights to ensure they did not rub! TOP TIP- a tip i read is to apply foot cream, allow it to try and then put the shoes on, this works a treat, i am now able to wear them without tights.

They are very narrow, but soon give after a few wears. The toe is extremely pointed so this is the most uncomfortable area, the instep is also very steep which pushes your toes even further into the front. However, they are comfortable but only for an hour or so, definitely dinner shoes!

Comfort/Walking:
These shoes are HARD to walk in, i have always worn 'high heels' usually 5in or over and never had a problem, however, these shoes are very very difficult, legs feel extremely straight and impossible to bend. Another tip- walk with your feet pointed out slightly- this does make it slightly easier, but i still walk like a penguin.
Here is a front view of the shoes, they look very classy and sophisticated on, at first i thought the point was too long, however, once on they look perfect and i am able to get over the pain and the penguin walk!

I don't think i will get much use out of these shoes, dinner only! Mainly because i want to keep a pristine red sole, but they are also a little impractical.

Thank you!
Emma
